FAQs

9) Was bekommt man alles beim Kauf einer VIP-Karte?

- was übrig bleibt, wird gespendet!

Was passiert dann mit meinem Geld?

Was muss ich tun?

In case you have any questions or need any more information, you can (hopefully) find the answers here:

1) What can I wear to the concert?

Classic Meets Fetish is a fetish event where the musicians also perform in fetish clothing. The audience is encouraged (but not forced!) to come in fetish gear,  and this is why our concert is so special and unique. Fetish clothing, however, can be broadly interpreted so while deciding on your outfit, please keep in mind that this is a cultural event and not a sex party! Furthermore, this concert takes place in an evangelical church, a place of religious worship, and we wish to respect the beliefs and religious practices of others. That's why we want to clearly point out here that people attending in inappropiate clothing (e.g. naked or part-nakedness, clothes with clear sexual attributes or sex-toys, or clothes which unambiguously indicate sexual practices, or which bear sexist, rascist or illegal insignia/decorations) will be refused entry without a refund of the ticket price paid.

2) Why are there two concerts this year?

Due to the current pandemic restrictions, only a limited number of guests will be able to attend the concert. So that as many people as possible can enjoy our event, there will be the choice of two events on the same day. If you are not able to buy tickets for your preferred time, please get tickets for the alternative.

3) The concerts start either at 3pm or at 8pm. When should I get there?

Doors open  on 9 September 45 minutes before the concerts begin and we strongly recommend arriving early! This will leave you with plenty of time to take your seat, meet new people and greet old friends. You can also buy refreshing drinks and snacks there, and just relax before the concert begins.  If you still need to purchase a ticket at the door, we suggest you arrive as early as possible to avoid long waiting times.  Doors close ten minutes before the start so that the concert can get off with a punctual start.

4) Can I come later?

So that we can start on time, the doors will close ten minutes prior to the start of each event. If you arrive late, you will have to wait for breaks in the music, e.g. during musician changes or the interval, before being allowed entry; in this case, please carefully follow the instructions of the door personnel. In order to avoid distracting the musicians, there will be no entry while music is in progress. Latecomers do not have a right of entry nor to sit in the category paid for.

 5) Can I take photos or film during the concert?

For advertising purposes, professional photos and film material will be made and recorded during the concert with the aim of producing a promotional DVD.  For this reason, it is forbidden to take photos, make film material or make any recording during/of the concert. According to German copyright law, this prohibition extends to the use of material for private use. Breach of this restraint may lead to legal proceedings.

6) I'm a photo journalist. When may I take photos?

Professional photographers and journalists are very welcome at this event! Please however get in touch with us first by 1 September 2021 (write to classic-meets-fetish@gmx.de). You will be given the opportunity to take photos and interview the musicians before and after the event. While music is in progress, however, you may not take any photos without prior permission from the concert management. In such case, you must switch off the camera flash and mute  any camera noise so as not to disturb other visitors or the musicians.
7) Why are the tickets so expensive?

Audience numbers will be highly restricted this year. As we have to cover our costs through the ticket sales - and have much fewer tickets available - we have to balance our losses by raising the prices. Our goal has always been to make the tickets affordable for every size of budget and we are doing what we can to keep the prices as low as possible.  Whatever is left over, as profit, will be donated to charities in Berlin and none of us will ever become rich as a result of this concert!

8) Whose pocket does the money end up in?

Classic Meets Fetish is a charity event because we wish to support our community, not rob from it!  We are not a company, an association or any other form of legal entity; we are only an evening event and therefore do not have a company bank account. In order to keep our private finances completely separate from the concert funds, we work in extremely close cooperation with the non-profit organisation Easter Berlin e.V., run by an executive board of several people in Berlin, who take good care of our finances and transactions, and also make sure that our funds are properly administered according to German tax law.

9) What is included with the VIP ticket?

The VIP seats are extremely restricted, which therefore makes them very desirable! We want our VIP guests to have a particularly unforgettable evening, so VIP ticket holders will be spoilt with extra comfortable, individual seating directly at the stage with plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy the music. The ticket includes Prosecco and a few surprises in a separate VIP area shared with the team and the musicians, giving you the chance for a private 'meet and greet' with the musicians ...

10) Why can't I get all ticket categories here online?

It's important to us that people on a smaller budget can also attend this special event and enjoy it. As the online ticket system (ticketdirect) automatically adds service charges to every online ticket purchase, this would raise the ticket prices. That's why  not all ticket categories  can be purchased online but need to be paid in cash soon at MrB Berlin, Motzstraße 22, 10777 Berlin.  Of course, if any remain, you can also get them on the door before the concert.

11) I purchased my ticket online. As organisor, the name Easter Berlin e.V. is printed on the ticket. Why?

"Classic Meets Fetish" is neither a company, an assocation nor any other form of legal entity. This is why we do not have our own bank account. We are very grateful for the active support of the non-profit organisation Easter Berlin e.V., who administrates our finances on our behalf. Easter Berlin e.V. also allow us to use their online ticket shop for this annual event, helping us therefore to keep our ticket prices as low as possible. There are five people on their executive board, so there are plenty of eyes keeping an eye on our funds and making sure all taxes and donations are properly paid!

12) Do I have to buy my ticket online?

No, but we recommend it. It is safer for you (you can't lose it!) and you're practically guaranteed to get the category you want to have. You can however also get tickets at certain BLF events or soon at MrB Berlin, Motzstraße 22, 10777 Berlin, but these must be paid for in cash. Any tickets that remain unsold will also be for sale at the door on the evening of the concert.

13) How much of the ticket price will be donated to charity?

We don't donate a flat-fee! From the total income generated by this concert, we first deduct the organisation and production costs, e.g. instrument hire, technical equipment, personnel fees, etc. and donate then what is left over. We want to help our community and appreciate your support. In the last few years, we have donated over EUR 10,000 to those in need of help and support.

14) What happens with my personal data I enter when purchasing a ticket online?

We take data privacy seriously and only use your personal data in order to fulfil the purchase contract for the tickets. Any information we collect, process, use and/or save on you or your person is deleted immediately once your ticket purchase has been finalised. We do not pass on your information to third parties. Upon purchasing a ticket here, you agree to us processing your personal data for the this purpose. For more information, please visit our page on data protection.

15) What if I buy a ticket now and can't make it to the concert in September?

Pursuant to the BGB [German Civil Code], section 312 para. 2 no. 9, purchased tickets which are not used can be neither refunded nor replaced - neither before nor after the event has taken place. If however you know in advance that you won't be able to attend, please get in touch with us at least 7 days before the concert and perhaps we'll be able to help you sell it.

16) Could the concert be cancelled? What happens then to my money?

Should the concert not take place, the ticket purchaser can return his/her ticket for reimbursement for up to two weeks following the cancellation. Should the concert be cancelled due to force majeur, no reimbursement will be made, but instead the event will be postponed to another, later date.

17) I am a musician and would like to perform. What do I have to do?

Just send us an email with a short bio and a film clip of your skills. We'll take the rest from there!

18) Why does the music programme appear so late?

The selection for the individual pieces and the organisation of the musical production is one of our final tasks in the planning for this concert. Alone sorting out the musician applications, choosing the individual pieces for each instrument and then establishing the order of appearance is a mammoth task that takes several weeks to complete. As we only want to publicise the programme when we are completely happy with it, we wait as long as we can to allow for any last-minute changes.

19) Which protections against COVID infections will be in place?

It's still too early to say yet exactly which protection measures will still be mandatory in September. As far as we know now, all guests will have to wear a mouth and nose covering and either produce a negative COVID test or proof of full vaccination coverage. There are also likely to be distance regulations in place. We do not want our event to be an infection spreader!
